PSO MUSICIANS
The Philadelphia Symphony Orchestra is an ad hoc seasonal orchestra, based at the annual Atlantic Coast Opera Festival in Philadelphia which had featured a resident orchestra since 2011. The PSO features some soloists and orchestral principals from major orchestras in its ranks.
Each member of the orchestra is hand-picked and the musicians assemble at the beginning of each August in Philadelphia for a total of three weeks together, with 10 days of rehearsals.
The orchestra is a project - organization, established to embrace orchestra's accessibility, encouraging musicians to network with fellow colleagues and share their knowledge of performing arts.
